Hi all. I'm going to create a thread to give more frequent updates to cover the broad strokes of what I'm working on, and what to expect in the next alpha release.
So far, for alpha 3, I've added the following:
- Basic crafting: You can now make hotloaded ammunition, which causes additional damage
- Perks: Added first three perks to the game
- Crowding: A character wielding a sniper or assault rifle receives a CTH penalty if there's an enemy in an adjacent tile
- Shotgun: Added provision effect & SFX for shotguns
- New items: Preston Mule (Shotgun), shotgun shells, and hotloaded shotgun shells

- Added code to allow multiple adjacent enemies to be hit by a shotgun blast
- Added critical hits
- Added 2 new perks
- Can no longer heal characters at a distance (oops!)
- Reachable tile display now updated when leaving inventory

And this is the last set of changes before alpha release 3. Should be available sometime today.
- Added 4 additional perks
- New crafting item: Trauma Kit Mk2
- New crafting components: Gunpowder and Medical Supplies
- Variety of tweaks to ranged weapons
- Fixed issues with input responsivity
- 10 bug fixes of varying severity
