I think the problem is that the Mafia just like to cheat.
Playing a cemetery map. The Mafia dude was shooting at a character that was most definitely behind one of the small mausoleums (4 x 4 tile building).
It might be that the door isn't being calculated in LOS calculations... the angle was pretty extreme if he was trying to shoot through the door.
He was missing and the building was being hit.

:) I'll have a look, thanks. In some cases it is possible to shoot through the corner of buildings, if the targeted character is in full cover, a shot can be made to orthagonal tiles which have no cover to determine if they can be hit (like in X-Com).
-
In this instance, my character was completely obstructed by the mausoleum. He was on a back corner and the person trying to shoot him was beyond the other diagonal corner.
-
Ah ok, that rules that out. I'll sort this one out for V15!
-
It's possible that the door may again be the issue for not blocking LOS, even though it would have been an extreme angle.

I must add in a tool to display level name. There are only 2 levels with these mausoleums, so it won't be hard to track down the problem, but it would simplify reporting issues with levels.

lol.... I was going to suggest that... but thought I'd just be suggesting more work.
If you've added a million new maps, coming up with names for all of them might be a pain.
Oh.... you're talking about a tool.
I was thinking of "You spot a disturbance at the Cemetary/Mausoleum/car park/scrap yard/etc" while the map loads.

Found this. The whole object wasn't tagged. Cheers!

Awesome. Glad I helped.
