: 2 grenades from two mafia as opening move

Got the "why are we stealing hooch" encounter.
They dropped one of their own at the start.
I used tactical move, but we start in a thin alley.
One Mafia moved and shot, a second moved and grenaded my two front guys, third guy moved and grenaded my two front guys.

What types of characters were the grenade throwers?

They were mini-boss types. The sort that you'd expect to have a grenade, I guess.
