: If dropped gear is to be collected automatically, then there's a bug

Fought Mafia.
Nasty boss guy had a large rifle. Sniper, I believe.
Killed him last.

Got to the loot bypass screen. Clicked check for loot. Then accidentally clicked finish (instead of clicking on the individual Bypass buttons).
The boss' rifle has not been looted.

If you haven't unlocked the first 2 objects, there's no guarantee that you will find all dropped items. If you click finish, no looting will happen. Can add a popup to confirm exit, if all containers haven't been attempted.

A pop-up would be good.

So..... how does it work then? Do we need to keep one guy alive at the end of each map, then loot all the bags in order to get the most loot?
If we have all the dropped loot, then the Bypass loot will be additional?

Will do. There's no benefit in keeping someone alive and picking up the loot. Anything that is dropped is automatically added to your inventory. However, some items don't drop, and these items are added to the first 2 loot containers (abstracted, these are items you can't readily see when searching the area).

So that means that if I looted the rifle guy, his rifle wouldn't have been there?
I suppose it doesn't really matter.

Yep, some items are considered to be not immediately visible, and these are found by searching first 1/2 loot containers.
